My wife and her office mate celebrated their Christmas at Mahan Garden Resort. The place is nice, the cottages was great, and the beach well, compared to some beaches such as paradise or costa marina still needs a little maintenance but its still nice compared to other beaches that are still being developed. And whats great!!! NO CORKAGE!!!! YESSSSSS. You can celebrate, bring your food and drinks without worrying to pay for corkage. Some resort here in Davao and Samal(well almost all of them) you have to pay for corkage. Man, you already spent that much for the food and drinks and then when you reach the resort you have to pay for bringing them? So that's what great about this place, NO CORKAGE I repeat NO CORKAGE aside from that also got a function hall for those gatherings such as family reunions and more. how many cottages does mahan beach resort have? we want to celebrate family reunion there next year month of april. We are about 150 heads all in all.
Im not really sure how many cottages in mahan, but if you're planning to have a reunion and have some programs I think the function hall can accommodate your family. But if all 150 of your family members where to spend the night over there, im not that sure, It would be best to contact the management. I have left a contact number at the end of the post.
where is Mahan Garden Resort located? how many hours travel?
It's located in Samal Island. You can take a barge to Samal, you can just walk from the barge to Mahan 5 minutes. The barge to Samal will take you about 5 to 10 minutes.
is it a solemn place?is it good for honeymoon?
Mahan for me is a family type, and ideal for family affairs, gatherings. And the place is sometimes full because there is no corkage. I would suggest Blue Waters and Green Isle (although the beach in Green Isle is not yet that developed).

The gazebo can accommodate about 15-20 person, while the tree house can accommodate 5 persons.

hello mr raynan....summer is almost over...hope to see your group back at mahan gardens...we have included free usage of volleyball and basketball areas and balls...free usage of kickboards and free usage of goggles and snorkels for the kids...looking forwards to your groups future crossover.
May limit po ba ang Gazebo with tree house, if overnight?
hi po...san po ba sasakay pa barge if we go there in mahan???kasi dalawa daw ung port eh,,,sa may Sasa saka sa Sta.Ana...san po ba dapat??? aalis po kasi kami this saturday going there and it would be out first time to go in mahan kasi na amaze kami sa pics...simple but rock! pls.reply po.
Mas malapit kung dun kayo sa may Sasa na barge mag sakay. Walking distance lang kasi pag baba nyu from samal barge wharf.
how many people can cluster room accommodate?
Cluster Room can accommodate 6 persons.
pwede po ba 2 persons lng sa cluster room?
Pwede naman cguro for 2 persons. I'm not that sure of the payment, kahit 2 kayo baka mabayaran mo is good for 6 persons. There's a telephone num and a cell num I included in the last part of the post.

mr raynan, WALA din po bang corkage if we bring TENTS? about 3 tents po kasi ang dadalhin but still we will avail the tree house with gazebo po. sana wala pong bayad sa TENTS :)) pls reply asap :)
There is a fee for bringing tents sir,, 1st condition is kelangan you have to rent either a gazebo or any of their cottages.. Tent fee varies from number of capacity of the tents. for tent with capacity of 1-2 = 50 pesos, 4-6 = 100 pesos, large tent 200 pesos.
