Eating in your house and cooking for yourself and your love one would greatly save you money. But its also nice to go out with your family or your love one and treat them to a restaurant from time to time. Here are some tips on how you can do that without breaking your budget.
- Go for lunch specials. Lunch specials are usually cheaper than dinners, and breakfasts are even more so. Always ask for the daily special as it can often be a good deal.
- New restaurant. Keep an eye out for newspaper ads regarding new restaurants. Often a restaurant that has just opened for business will want to attract new customers with discount and freebies.
- Drink water. You go to a restaurant for the good food, not for the drinks. You can get those for much cheaper at a grocery store. Drink water instead.
- Just order side items. A salad and an appetizer can often make for a delicious but affordable meal for one.
- Don't order two dinners. If you go to a restaurant with your partner, order one dinner and an appetizer and split it. Many restaurants usually serve way too much, which is costly and unhealthy if you finish it.

oh! my colleagues and i always ordered plain water or chinese tea for drink as most of the restaurant offer them free or just 30cents. :)
Whenever my boyfriend and decided to eat at the restaurant, we always ask for water and skip softdrinks. we can save almost P100 in our bill.
We always have water and we share. We don't feel ashamed even if other people will see it. We just ask for extra plate and like you said, side dishes will do.
