Simple Uses for your Old Stockings

Here are some ideas on how to squeeze out more uses from those old stockings.
  • Wear on chilly nights to warm your legs.
  • Since stockings are quite strong and elastics, use them to tie things together.
  • Convert into cleaning rags for delicate surface like glass or porcelain. Perfect also for buffing leather shoes or bags.
  • Make into stuffing for dolls or pillows.
  • Cut off a segment and use as a headband to keep hair in place while you're doing house chores.
  • Put one stocking over the other, then use as a basket to store garlic, onions or small fruits.
  • Weave several stockings together into floor mats or macrame flowerpot holders.
  • Put mothballs in a stocking to keep them from rolling around the closet.
  • Roll a stocking to keep them from rolling around the closet.
  • Roll a stocking around a sturdy stick - now you have something to sweep hard to reach areas or the toilet bowl.
  • Patch up the hole of your window screen with a selection of stocking.

Mahan Garden Resort at Island City of Samal 2010

My wife and her office mate celebrated their Christmas at Mahan Garden Resort. The place is nice, the cottages was great, and the beach well, compared to some beaches such as paradise or costa marina still needs a little maintenance but its still nice compared to other beaches that are still being developed. And whats great!!! NO CORKAGE!!!! YESSSSSS. You can celebrate, bring your food and drinks without worrying to pay for corkage. Some resort here in Davao and Samal(well almost all of them) you have to pay for corkage. Man, you already spent that much for the food and drinks and then when you reach the resort you have to pay for bringing them? So that's what great about this place, NO CORKAGE I repeat NO CORKAGE aside from that also got a function hall for those gatherings such as family reunions and more. Below are some photos of the place and the cost.

Merry Christmas!!!

As usual we celebrated Christmas with no firecrackers. Here in Davao City, firecrackers are banned. Its a good thing though, less expenses, no injuries and accident and best of all, you dont have to clean the mess the firecrackers left the following day. So instead of firecrackers we rented a videoke machine. Yup we just sang our throats out for the whole evening. Then came eating time, my favorite of all hahahaha. Look at that delicious lechon wow my favorite (calories and fats and all). Well Merry Christmas to all my friends out there.

The Straw Christmas Lantern

Me and my wife are about to go home from work. When something caught my attention, it was a Christmas Lantern. But it was not just your ordinary Christmas Lantern, this lantern was made of straw, yup straw the one we used to drink from those bottled soft drinks we like. You just have to praise this guys creativity for having to use this type of materials and use it to create such a work of art.
