Merry Christmas!!!

As usual we celebrated Christmas with no firecrackers. Here in Davao City, firecrackers are banned. Its a good thing though, less expenses, no injuries and accident and best of all, you dont have to clean the mess the firecrackers left the following day. So instead of firecrackers we rented a videoke machine. Yup we just sang our throats out for the whole evening. Then came eating time, my favorite of all hahahaha. Look at that delicious lechon wow my favorite (calories and fats and all). Well Merry Christmas to all my friends out there.

How To Train Your Puppy

Are you a dog lover? do you have a pet puppy in your house? I saw in a TV sitcom once of a man showing some trick done by his dog, well sounds familiar, but there's one thing that caught my interest the dog that is doing all those neat tricks is not your typical house dog or dogs that are high breed/purebreeds such as a Dalmatian, Poodle or a Golden Retriever. Its what Filipinos call ASKAL or Asong Kalye or Street Dog. Yup its street dog but it can do such great tricks. The secret? its how you train your dog when its still a puppy. Here is a site that can really help you in that aspect. The site is Puppy Training Guide. The site teaches you on basic dog commands such as sit, lay down, fetch and more. But aside from the basic it will also help you in training you puppy to behave. Believe me its worth it. You don't want your puppy eating your favorite slipper or shoes or digging holes on your front lawn. Click the link Puppy Training Guide, train your puppy now.

Ways on how to die young

Oh yes, you read it right. I read this one article last week and found it very interesting since most article usually tackles about how to care for our health, how to live long. But not this one this deals on how to die young hahahaha.

1. Eat what you want. You are what you eat. Since your concern is to die younger, eat anything, especially those cholesterol laden foods such as cheese, egg yolks, beef, pork, chicken and shrimp. Cholesterol is not present in plant based food sources unless it has been added during the food's preparation.

Excess cholesterol settles along arterial walls and that excess can clog arteries and restrict blood flow leading to angina pain, heart attack or stroke. Cholesterol is also a leading cause of gallstones.

2. Drink like there's no tomorrow. Alcohol drinking is a big part of people merry making activities. Beer is an essential part of parties. Even when there is no special occasions, many people hang together in the streets or their houses drinking gin and tonic, which is considerably cheaper alcoholic drink.

Among physical health effects associated with alcohol consumption include cirrhosis of the liver, pancreatitis, epilepsy, polyneuropathy, alcoholic dementia, heart disease, increased chance of cancer, nutritional deficiencies, sexual dysfunction, and even death.

3. Drive like crazy. "If you drive, don't drink. If you drink, don't drive" It is a known fact that driving while intoxicated or drunk is dangerous. In the United States, alcohol us estimated to play a role in 39 percent of vehicle related deaths and to cost $51 billion annually.

4. Puff a smoke every now and then. A custom loathsome to the eye, hateful to the nose, harmful to the brain, dangerous to the lungs. Today there is 100 percent proof that smoking is indeed harmful.

Smoking causes lung cancer, emphysema, heart attacks, osteoporosis, peptic ulcer and reproductive problems like impotence. Whenever smoke passes, it spreads its deadly trademark: starting from the mouth where it causes oral cancer, then cancer of the vocal cords, then cancer of the esophagus and finally lung cancer.

5. Disregard regular medical checkup. There are several medical check ups that a person should undergo to maintain well being. For medical history, vital statistics are height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate. Routine blood and urine test are done to check things like cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Heart examination is conducted to check heart rate while breathing test is carried out to check lung capacity which can be affected by smoking, asthma or other conditions.

Two test that men under the age of 40 should undergo are prostate examination and testicular examination.

For women, the two most often recommended test are breast cancer screening and pap smear.

6. Stop thinking about exercise. "Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later found time for illness," said Edward Stanley. A study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine reported that 30 minutes of walking daily brings as much risk reduction for heart attacks as a high intensity exercise program.

There are more benefits you can get from exercise. It can prevent you staying away from chronic illnesses such as diabetes and even some cancers. It does stabilize your blood pressure and cholesterol level. Also exercise can excrete the toxic waste from your body through sweating.

7. Greet stress with gladness. If you've been sick lately, suspect stress. Some doctors say that as many as nine of ten visits to the doctor may be related to stress. That includes everything from allergies and asthma to herpes and heart disease.

Now if that little bit of news isn't stressing enough, there are also those traffic jams and long lines, jerky bosses and inept workers, too much to do and too little time to do it. And don;t forget unemployment, pollution, crime and separation.

Stress is a biological term which refers to the consequences of the failure of a person to respond appropriately to emotional or physical threats, whether actual or imagined. Maybe sounds a little overdramatic, but the reality is that excessive, untreated stress can actually kill you.

Now if you want to live longer, do exactly the opposite.

Why a Wedding Ring is worn on the 4th finger

This one is for those who are married...

I receive this one from my email a long time ago. Have you ever wondered why the wedding ring is worn on the fourth finger? There is a beautiful and convincing explanation given by the Chinese.

Thumb represents your parents
Second (index) finger represents your siblings
Middle finger represents yourself
Fourth (ring) finger represents your Life Partner
and the Last (little) finger represents your children

Firstly, open your palm (face to face), bend the middle finger and hold them together - back to back.
Secondly, open and hold the remaining three fingers and the thumb - tip to tip
(As shown in the figure below):

Now, try to separate thumbs (representing the parents)
they will open, because your parents are not destined to live with you lifelong, and have to leave you sooner or later.

Please join your thumbs as before and separate your index fingers (representing your siblings)
they will also open, because your brothers and sisters will have their own families and will have to lead their own separate lives.

Now join the index fingers and separate your little fingers (representing your children)
they will open too, because the children also will get married and settle down on their own some day.

Finally, join your little fingers, and try to separate your ring fingers (representing your spouse and yourself)
You will be surprise to see that you just CANNOT..because Husband and Wife have to remain together al their lives through thick and thin!!

Find the Man in the Coffee Beans

Ive received this one in my email. First things first, find the man in the coffee beans in the picture below:

The doctors have concluded that if you find the man in the coffee beans in 3 seconds, the right half of your brain is better developed than most people. If you find the man between 3 seconds and 1 minute, the right half of the brain is developed normally. If you find the man between 1 minute and 3 minutes, then the right half of your brain functioning slowly and you need to eat more protein. If you have not found the man after 3 minutes, the advice is to look for more of this type of exercise to make that part of the brain stronger.

AND YES THE MAN IS REALLY THERE!!!!

The Car Alarm

I think most of you is used to hearing alarms in a car. For me its a bit irritating and probably useless. Hearing car alarms, especially those type that when you just pass by the car, the alarm would go off! People are so numb at hearing this things go off they really serve no purpose at all. What would you do if someone sets off a car alarm? would you check the car to see who did it especially if the car is not yours? I always hear people say to themselves upon hearing a car alarm "its such a headache hearing that sound" "another idiot set off the alarm" or "he bought a cheap one, maybe the cat set it off." honestly its probably one of the gadgets ever invented that should be put to junk already.

So who's next for manny Pacquiao?

After defeating Miguel Cotto who's next in the list for Manny Pacquiao. Will it be Floyd Mayweather Jr. or a rematch with nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez? But if you would ask people, especially Pacquiao's fans they would surely say bring on the loudmouth Mayweather. Well i myself would like to see a Manny Pcquiao versus Mayweather fight. But Mayweather, a loud mouth that he is, is no pushover, the guy is undefeated and even retired because there was no one to challenge him. Later came back after retirement and defeated Juan Manuel Marquez.

There is a talk that if ever there would be a Pacquiao versus Mayweather fight, the fight will be held at the 50,000 seat Yankee Stadium in New York City.

Mall Baggage Counter

I really like going to SM, why? because they wont let me put my bag on their baggage counter. I mean the moment you go in to SM, they would check your bag at the entrance and you can bring your bag anywhere inside. Unlike on some malls here in Davao, like Victoria Plaza, you would go in, they would check your bag, then when you're inside already and you would like to go to the shoes department, they would check your bag AGAIN!! and will let you leave your bag in their baggage counter. WHAT THE HELL they already check it when I enter, then inside they would check it again?? There is also this rule in Gaisano South that upon entering well they would check your bag, the t-shirt and shoe department are at the 2nd and third floor, to reach their you must take the escalator, now at the escalator the guard will block you if you have a backpack, I was once denied to go up because i have a backpack and the guard lets this woman go up because she only had a handbag( but her hand bag is much much bigger than my puny backpack) damn , tried confronting the guard saying whats the difference between my puny backpack compared to her enormous handbag, the guard just says its their rule, damn that rule. So i had to go find the baggage counter in order to go up, what a stupid rule.

Nude Fan Dance

Yehey finally I'm up and healthy again, I feel okay and rejuvenated after a week of cough and running nose. So where do I start hmmm. Have you seen this video at you tube its about a group of dancing Japanese men wearing nothing and only having a fan to cover their private part. Its hilarious down right funny. I also heard that the Pinoy Big Brother housemates will be performing this type of dance too this Friday. I hope they can pull it off, cause just watching the video it does require a good choreography in their part and good timing and synchronization.

Heres the video of the dance:

Do you still tip?

When I was young, when me and my father would eat in a restaurant or maybe go to the barbershop. My father always give a tip. I didn't ask why he would do it, but he always gives a tip. Now that I'm all grown up, I keep asking myself do we need to tip? I mean do we give tips to waiters, barbers or bellboys. We all know they are paid to do that. Although most of them are below minimum wage.
I ask my mom if she also tips a person for his services, and she said sometimes, especially if the person giving service to her is well mannered and quick to do the task. She said tipping is just her way of saying "Nice job" or "Well done".
Me i only give a tip when i go to the barber shop hahaha, especially if the barber really did a good job of trimming my hair. But when it comes to restaurants i don't give tip, i just don't. Correct me if I'm wrong about this, but restaurant usually include a service charge on your bill, I think its about 10%.
How about you? do you tip?

RP Sports should find other sports to support

I found a nice article in a newspaper, and it has some interesting write ups regarding the sports here in Philippines.

It was written that RP should find other sport to focus other than basketball.

Even Vlade Divac said “Filipinos have to find other good sports because it’s hard for them to excel in basketball due to height limitations.”

And yes he's right, although basketball is such a popular sports in the Philippines, there are other sports than we can excel in, and bring home the gold when the olympics starts.

Manolo IƱigo mentioned billiard as one of the sports to focus in. But there are plenty of sports where height is not might when it comes to sports. How about weightlifting, diving, equestrian, gymnastics, softball, table tennis and more.

Wonder Girls - Nobody

I want nobody nobody But You, I want nobody nobody But You... oh that's the only part of the song i know of the hit song "Nobody " from the Wonder Girls. Every time i turn on the radio their song was being played that's how hit their song is. Although i don't understand their lyrics except for the English part, the song has a nice beat to it. So who is this cute girl band the Wonder Girls?

Wonder Girls is a five-member girl group produced by Park Jin Young and is currently signed to JYP's label JYP Entertainment (the same agency that used to manage Rain. At their debut, the girls were all teenagers set to become the next big K-pop group. The original five members were So Hee, Ye Eun, Sun Mi, Sun Ye, and Hyun Ah. Their debut was on February 11, 2007.

On July 30th, 2007 Hyun Ah left the group because of a stomach disease. She was replaced by Yoo Bin, the current rapper for Wonder Girls.

Although the Wonder Girls were met with decently good reception at their debut, it wasn't until their single Tell Me was released that they reached superstardom. With their cute dance moves in the Tell Me music video, Korea was hit by Wonder Girls mania.

In 2008, the Wonder Girls released their single, So Hot, which instantly became one of the most popular songs in Korea.
